On August 2nd, 2011 Jason was involved in a near fatal plane crash when his Aerial Banner Advertising Airplane experienced an engine failure. Jason was in a coma for six weeks and badly injured. Against all odds he has made a miraculous recovery and in less than 5 months he was walking again.

Jason soloed a Pitts Special S-1S on his 16th birthday and began competitive aerobatics at the age of 17 where he placed 3rd in the region for his category. In only his 2nd season, Jason placed 1st in his region and category during 2009 season!
